gr0wpath

A workforce skills platform that measures what people already know, finds the gaps that matter for their role, and builds training, exams, and practical scenarios around each person — with manager reporting on real capability.

The problem

Course completion isn’t capability. Most learning systems can tell a manager who clicked through a module, but not who can actually do the job — or which skills only one person on the team has proven.

Why existing tools fell short

Most learning-management systems report course completion. They don’t measure what a person can actually do, don’t adapt paths to existing knowledge, and don’t show managers where a skill depends on a single person.

The solution

gr0wpath starts by measuring. Skills checks establish what each person already knows, and the system builds a learning path around the gaps that matter for their role instead of forcing experienced staff through material they’ve already mastered.

Exams are generated from a plan, so each person gets a fresh set of approved questions scored by section. Practical scenarios go to a supervisor for review. Managers get team heatmaps and a dependency list of skills only one person has proven — with no leaderboards.

  • Skills checks and section-scored exams generated from an approved question plan
  • Role-based learning paths, including product-specific IT roles
  • Practical scenarios with supervisor review
  • Team mastery heatmaps and single-point-of-knowledge reporting
  • AI-drafted lessons and questions, each approved by a person

Assessment engine
Exam plans draw fresh sets of approved questions per person and score them by section; harder questions carry more weight, and a content-gaps report shows where question pools run short.
Roles & authorization
Employee, manager, and admin roles; a job can offer several roles, and the MSP edition ships with IT roles such as Service Desk L1–L3 and Network Administrator.
Authentication
Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, multi-factor authentication required for chosen roles, and email-and-password sign-in.
AI integration
AI drafts lessons, questions, scenarios, and whole courses, and can suggest a first-pass grade — a person reviews and approves each one. AI is optional and runs on the organization’s own OpenAI key with a monthly limit.
Reporting
Team mastery heatmaps, test activity, completion records as PDF, CSV exports, and an admin-readable audit log.
Front end
A Next.js application with employee, manager, and admin views, including a phone-friendly employee home.

What makes it interesting

The most useful report isn’t a score — it’s the dependency list: skills where only one person on the team is proven. That turns training from a compliance exercise into a way to reduce operational risk, and it falls out naturally from measuring capability per skill instead of per course.
